ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee must have regular attendance/punctuality, be able to cooperate with others, and be completely honest. Other assigned duties include:
1. Preparing individual service plans and scheduling monthly service plan meetings.
2. Maintaining contact with youth, family, caseworker, therapist, school and any other parties involved in care or treatment of the client.
3. Managing bed space and monitoring admission and discharge of youth including DRS forms for the Detention youth.
4. Complete Medicaid forms and status of committed youth.
5. Ensures that appropriate medical treatment is afforded all youth. This includes coordinating medical, dental, and vision appointments for youth.
6. Responsible for progress reports, monthly and discharge, for all assigned youth.
7. Supervising the daily routine and schedule of youth.
8. Ensuring that youth's goals, restitution, and community services are being adhered to.
9. Maintaining files and records on youth.
10. Conducting new client orientation.
11. Representing oneself as a role modeling of positive and professional attitudes and behaviors, which includes dress, language, and actions towards youth, staff, and community members.
12. Attending meetings, court hearings, and other appointments relevant to the care of the client.
13. Supervision of the staff, clients, and program in the Program Coordinator’s absence.
14. Adhering to RCCF and DYC policy and procedures. Participate in monitoring and audits.
15. Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university and three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS PREFERRED:
Education: Master’s degree, CAC credential
Experience: 4 years or more work experience as a case manager in an RTC or RCCF or working in the human services field working with families and/or youth at risk; personal, family, or group counseling.
Special Skills: CPI; CPR/First Aide, Medication Qualification Training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business practices, Hilltop policies and procedures, professional journals, technical guidelines, and governmental regulations. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must be able to accurately and clearly provide direction to staff and residents.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to add and subtract two digit numbers, and to multiply and divide by 10’s and 100’s. Must be able to perform these operations using units of American money, weight measurements, volume measurement, and distance. Must be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must be able to interpret instructions that are furnished in a variety of formats including written, oral, diagram, and/or schedule form.

• Medication Administration Certification
• Certificate from Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI Training).

• Must be able to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
Taste/Smell:
• Must be able to distinguish, with a degree of accuracy, differences or similarities in intensity or quality of flavors and/or odors, or recognize particular flavors and/or odors, using the tongue and/or nose.
Vision: Must have the following vision abilities:
• Close vision (clear at 20 inches or less).
• Far vision (clear at 20 feet or more).
• Depth perception (Three-dimensional vision. The ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are.)
• Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
• Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).
• Field of vision (observing an area that can be seen up and down or right or left while eyes are fixed in a given point).
Physical effort:
• Medium work (moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to 60 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently).
