Full Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Employee must have regular attendance/punctuality, be able to cooperate with others, and be completely honest. Other assigned duties include:
1. Conducting initial client interviews including intake and assessment.
2. Providing 30 hours of face-to-face contact with active participants including groups, family visits, and individual sessions with youth.
3. Providing individual sessions with parents of participants as family requests them.
4. Coordinating weekly psycho-educational classes for participants at multiple sites, coordinating quarterly educational classes for parents of participants, developing curriculum, coordinating speakers, arranging transportation, preparation and presentation of educational materials, ordering and purchasing necessary supplies and food.
5. Maintaining a case load deemed appropriate by supervisors, which requires effective time management skills.
6. Maintaining documentation and client files with accurate, directive case notes and all other forms required by the program model.
7. Data entry of client files.
8. Providing billing reports to Hilltop accounting department for Medicaid.
9. Running monthly statistic reports and audits.
10. Marketing the program to schools and community agencies that serve youth.
11. Providing transportation for youth to group, home, and other activities as necessary.
12. Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for supervising child care providers and interns as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS PREFERRED:
Education: Associates or bachelors degree in a related field (Early Childhood Education,
Psychology, Human Services, etc.).
Experience: work experience or training in case management, group facilitation, parenting strategies, strength based approaches, and/or healthy boundaries.
Special Skills: Bi-lingual.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, as well as Hilltop and program specific policies and procedures. Must be able to write routine documentation as required. Must be able to verbally communicate effectively with clients and co-workers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to add and subtract two digit numbers, and to multiply and divide by 10’s and 100’s. Must be able to perform these operations using units of American money, weight measurements, volume measurement, and distance. Must be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must be able to interpret instructions that are furnished in a variety of formats including written, oral, diagram, and/or schedule form.

• CPR Certificate/First Aid Certificate
• Colorado Driver’s License
• Certificate from Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI Training), preferred.
